Where Procrastination Meets Apathy - I won't care tomorrow.
Winds-Day
Alright, so as far as I know it's not really windy but, hey, whatever, right? Anywho, despite the great call of rage as far as my boredom yesterday I actually went out and did something, despite popular belief.
Chiara, the adorable, blonde, intelligent bubble-head that's one of my roomies, went and saw The Medallion with me. It was interesting. Not bad, not particularly good either. It left quite a bit to be desired in some places. The pacing was bad, that's for damn sure. Seemed to drag in some parts, then go so lightning fast that the ending arrived before I had expected it. A lot of gaps were left as well. But, then again, it's a Jackie Chan film: they're fun to watch, but not heavy on the plot. Personal recommendation: See Bulletproof Monk instead. Nearly an identicle premise and it's pulled off a heck of a lot better. That, and except for his role as Fog in Fifth Element, Lee Evens kinda bugs the shit outta me.
Now, as we speak, I'm plotting to become the next great pirate of the Caribbean. Why, you ask? The excitement, the adventure, the prestige (albeit ill-gotten), and the ability to wear sea worthy yet flashy clothing and not have anyone remark on it 'cause they're too scared. I'm currently recruiting for crew, so far I've only got two mates at this point, but we're looking for more. Oh, yeah, and if you find any old World War 2, or more modern, PT boats for sale, let me know. *grins*
Now I think I'll have to go home and design my own skull-and-crossbones flag to mount. Need a symbol that strikes fear in your victims. Yeah... now I just need to figure that out. Ah well. Oh, and my official Pirate Name to date is "Mad John Kidd." Arrr...
