Where Procrastination Meets Apathy - I won't care tomorrow.

So I did my penetration dive.  It was sad - our umbilicals were too short so we could only go into the outfall about thirty feet before we had to turn around and come back.  It gets dark in there... I mean REALLY dark.  The kind of pure blackness that can only be found underground or underwater, where there's NO light at all, not even a hint.  It was cool but short lived.

What was fun was later on in the day we had a huge lightning strike!  There was a bright flash, so much so we had divers in the water radioing back with "what was that?!"  A couple of seconds later and the place shook with one of the loudest cracks of thunder I've ever experienced.  Something over in Magnolia got hit because we saw a ball of fire and then a plume of smoke over in that direction just before a massive cloudburst downpoured on us.  It was wild.
