Where Procrastination Meets Apathy - I won't care tomorrow.
Another Manic Monady
Have I mentioned recently what a mind-numbing portion of my day is the hour from 4am - 5am. This is that magical time when our automated services shuts people off if they haven't paid their bill but the call center that's supposed to take billing calls is not online yet. So you know what that means? That's right... all us poor, pathetic early morning techs get to take billing calls for an hour. And let me tell ya, that blows.
Had an interesting time last night. Played some DDR with a few people, had it officially announced that Kevin (Leah's new beau) and myself were the All Might Tallest. Kinda creepy, we were the same hight on the nose. Double-screened my computer so people could watch mass amounts of Invader Zim and generally had an interesting time.
For anyone in the Denver area looking to buy a car - never, EVER buy from the used car lot at Big Mike Naughton Ford. The new car sales might be different but the used car people are greedy, rude, irritating people. Sadly, that's where I bought my baby; happily, I never have to deal with them again. I had to wake up ass-early on Friday (my day off) and drive an hour-and-a-half up there to finish some financial paperwork. Turns out the bank and their finance department made an oopsie and if they had just TALKED to eachother, I wouldn't have to have gone up there. Hell, I didn't even sign anything. I just talked to them, they talked to the bank, bank talked to me, and everything was bright and shiney in the world. I thought for sure these people knew what a conference call was. My bad.
Now what am I left with? Hell if I know. I snagged myself a new heat sink and fan for my processor and a big ol' 92mm fan for the back of my case and I'm happy to say that at its hottest, my system is now running thirty degrees cooler on the CPU that it ever has - and fifty degrees cooler at night. Very sweet. No more worries about heat. Now I just need to figure out my Microsoft Media Player sucks goats and why I can't rip audio from AVI files with Sound Forge anymore. Ah well, there we have it. Next on the list: a pretty, new case.
